The seminar, co-orgnaized by ETSI and Small Business Standards, will unveil the following topics:
1. Why standards matter for ICT Clusters and SMEs and how they are connected
2. What is the role of ETSI in the European and global standardisation landscape?
3. What financial support is available for SMEs?
The seminar is part of a broader SBS campaign on trainings for SME associations and ICT clusters and is designed to provide SME associations’ and clusters’ staff with the possibility to upgrade their knowledge and understanding of the European standardisation system and, in particular, of the ETSI specifications.
Topics to be raised include the following: ETSI membership, functioning (governance, technical, decision making process, approval and maintenance) and interoperability as well as ETSI’s role in the world, partnership projects – 3GPP and OneM2M. The training will also provide an interesting update on standardisation requests, the ICT Rolling Plan and the ICT Multi Stakeholder Platform of the EU.
To enable non-Brussels based representatives to benefit from the training, travel and accommodation reimbursement for up to 10 persons (one per organisation) is foreseen up to a maximum amount of €600 (i.e. max. €250 per diem and max. €350 for travel expenses). As the amount of available reimbursements is limited, they will be allocated according to the first come, first served principle.
